Is there a wrist (or neck) carry strap designed to attach to the Kensington security slot on most laptops?Posted by: admin in neck lanyards, tags: Attachment Point, Kensington Lock, Kensington Security Slot, Laptops, Netbooks, Targus, Wrist LanyardSome netbooks are light enough to carry easily in one hand. A wrist lanyard would secure against accidental drops without a significant weight penalty. The security slot provides a structurally rigid attachment point.

Help me choose a video card that will with WOW?Posted by: admin in id card accessories, tags: Accelerator, Amp, Btw, Category Id, Ck, Content Products, Dell Support, Dell Website, Dhs, Geforce 7600, Graphics Card, Graphics Cards, Graphics Media, Inner Workings, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, Laptops, Quot, Sna, Video Card, Video CardsI am going to buy a new laptop in the near future. I want it for school (so internet and office) and for gaming - one game in particular, WOW. I have already picked out the computer I want from Dell and the only problem is the video card that comes with it. It is "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD". I don’t know jack about inner workings of computers or anything so I’m really confused on whether this will suffice or not. I could not find this card listed on the WOW webpage for supported video cards. The page lists supported and not supported cards and this was not on any list. However, from the user reviews on the computer I gathered that this card was not good for gaming. Now I plan to just buy a video card separate but I don’t know anything about them! I don’t know which one to pick or how to find out if it will work with the computer or anything. Help me! And I almost forgot, I would like to spend $100-$300 on the card. PS WOW recommends ATI Radeon 7200 or VNIDIA GeForce 7600 GT class card or better. And I would prefer to order the video card from the dell website at the same time I order my computer. Here is a link to the dell website for video cards http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=us&category_id=7322&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=anav Oh and in case this helps this is the computer I chose http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/studio-1747?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19 To upgrade it, ring dell support and tell them, when you buy your laptop, to upgrade your laptops graphics card to a better one and they should give you it with a different graphics card. Tell them its for gaming and you want it to be HD. It will cost (obviously) for the graphics card but im not sure if they charge you for the upgrade. Good luck… BTW, that’s a really good laptop. |
