I was wondering about this deal.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/null/null/pcmcat163300050048.c?id=pcmcat163300050048
do you have to have an item that cost at least $250 or can you combine multiple items that total over $250? For example I want to buy the htc evo 4g phone which cost $199 with the new contract. Can I buy some accessories for it to reach the $250 requirement.
I know about the interest rate, but I’m not worried about that. I don’t miss payments I just need to know about that purchase requiement
Can someone please just answer my question! Im gonna pay off the bill way before the due date so I’m really not concerned with this interest rate. People that get charged these rates are unaware of the contract and dont read the fine print. So they end up blaming the company for there own stupid mistakes.

30% interest? If you are late with one payment you are screwed. They used to throw people who charged interest rates like this in jail. For being loan sharks.

If you mess up then your credit rating will be bad.Save up your money and pay cash. The phone will be there when you have it. This isn’t a good deal. It is a terrible deal.

HSBC Deferred Interest Info Variable APRs as of 08/01/2010: Plan A: For Accounts generated on or after 06/29/10: Variable Standard Rate APR: 25.24%. Variable Penalty Rate APR: 29.99%. For Accounts generated before 06/29/10: Variable Standard Rate is 24.24%. Variable Penalty Rate is 29.24%. Plan B: Variable Standard APR: 27.99%. Variable Penalty APR: 29.99%.

Please no answers about how I should not use a best buy credit card, just answer my question please.

Whatever your purposes in putting and playing Movie/Music on HTC EVO 4G, you can get the method here, so just know how to do it.

Between those two… the Radeon 4850, easily.

The GT240 performs in-between a GeForce 9800GT and 9600GT, while the Radeon 4850 is a direct competitor to the higher-powered GTS 250 (Previously known as the 9800GTX+).

But a couple of things:

1) Don’t buy a video card from Best Buy - way overpriced! The Radeon 4850 is a discontinued model anyway, replaced by the new 5750. But you can find 4850 cards for about $115 online:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129138

Besides, a better bargain than the 4850 is the Radeon 4770, which is only $99 online!

In any event, the GT240 is a step below any of those cards.

I have a Power Man 250W Power Supply and I would like to Upgrade so I can get some newer parts for my computer. Im 14, and my Range is $150 and below. I can only go to stores like Staples, or Best Buy, or places like that.

Here are some I was looking at
Note: The 1st, 4th and 5th one would be perfect for me, I need to know if they will work.

If you need certain information just ask for it and I will give it to you.
Thanks for your help. I’ll take your word, but just to be safe I’ll wait for some more answers.

You are fine to upgrade power sources as long as its power output is equal to or greater than what you currently have now. There is nothing to special or unique about power supplies, generally they will work in 99% of computers.

Hello,
I have to upgrade my power supply since the new graphics card I want says I need A. minimal of 450watt and B. a 6pin pci connector.. My system has neither and my current power supply is only 305watt. I have been browsing around but there are so many different ones and many different pice ranges that I am completely confused as to what I would actually need. Im not sure if this could help with what Id need but I have a Dell E521 with specs to follow
AMD Althon64 X2 5000+ 2.60ghz
2 gigs ddr2 533mhz
2 optical drives SATA
250gig hard drive
The system has no molex connections I know that. I was wondering if either this
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Power/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A1311639
or this
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Power/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A1631540
would work for what Id need? I really am not an expert with this stuff and we have no local pc repair shops to go to in which to ask. Any help that could either help me figure out what Id need or give me an idea on either of the above power supplies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
also.. have to go through dell because holidays are coming up and dont have enough to put for the new card and power supply out of pocket like that.. so whatever I got would have to be from dell.. Thanks again

incorrect. you can get any ATX power supply and put in the case, you ca get it at best buy or somewhere online like newegg.com. get like a 500w supply for like $50 if not cheaper. i recommend rosewill or this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817342015

I’m currently looking to replace my desktop computer. I already have the monitor and other external accessories, so I figure my best bet is to go with a bundle from Future Shop / Best Buy.

Now, I need a bit of help regarding video card compatibility, without too much technological mumbo-jumbo, because I’m not too talented with that stuff.

Here’s a desktop that’s in my price-range (actually, even a bit over my price range):

HP Pavilion AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad-Core 2.2GHz Computer (A6650F) ($749.99)

(Link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10114689&catid=)

Now, I plan on playing World of Warcraft: WotLK pretty extensively, enough to warrant having a high powered, quiet, and durable card to run it at full video settings at a high resolution.

Here’s a video card I’m considering upgrading to:
BFG Geforce 8600 GTS 256MB PCIe Video Card ($143.99)

(Link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10098942&catid=)

Now I have 2 questions:

1) Can this video card be attached to the motherboard of this computer without a problem? This is my main problem, I haven’t ever really learned about motherboard compatibility, and I don’t want to make a mistake in purchasing this card.

2) Do you believe that buying this card is a good investment, or would the one built into the PC do an excellent job for WotLK since it’s based on a game from 2004?

If you can answer even 1 of these questions, I’d be very appreciative! Thanks a lot.
Oops! Here's the link to the desktop package that I'm considering. Keep in mind I'm not building onto anything I already own, I'm basically starting fresh.

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10114689&catid=

And here's the video card:

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10098942&catid=
Thanks for the info so far! It's gold!

So, I chose a PC that was too overpowered and expensive, apparently. Good to know!

So, am I fine getting away with this for $300:

HP Pavilion Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2220 2.4GHz Desktop Computer (A6500F) (399.99)

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10110046&catid=

…and it's likely compatible with the:

BFG GeForce 9600GT 512MB PCI-E Video Card ($169.99)

….and able to run WoW:WotLK pretty flawlessly?

Thanks!
Typo correction: "So, am I fine getting away with this for $400: "

Hi, firstly, the standard graphics on that pc (i used the cat. number to find the pc) are integrated - which will not run any newer games (inc. WoW). The card you have picked out is compatible, however it's not a particullarly good card for gaming. You really want to be looking at an nvidia 9600gt minimum to make it a worthwhile investment. If necessary, i would strongly suggest getting a computer with a cheaper processor (barely anything utilizes even 2 cores let alone 4) unless you plan on doing any heavy video editing and put the saved money into a better graphics card - which is THE most important feature where gaming is concerned.

As long as the processor is a dual core, preferably an intel one clocked over 2.4Ghz, it will be more than enough for a good long while.

Hope that helps
