There are other ones like Crystal Downloads www.crystal-downloads.com I can’t find any reviews for these companies online, but their prices are really low. Does anyone know if these are scams?

Sorry but if it’s rediculously cheap it’s probably a scam. I’d only ever go with Microsoft or your local computer store’s website.

Another alternative is OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) which is a free/opensource version of Microsoft Office designed to be as like it as possible. I’ve only ever used open office and MUCH prefer it to Microsoft Office it has all the packages but there named a little differently. It has Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Access, Publisher etc.

And the files it saves them as work perfectly with Microsoft Office.

I go to the same liquor store each wednesday to buy my weekly alcohol supply and they always ask for id - the first time there was only one person at the counter to buy alcohol then the 2nd week there was 2 people there.There is a policy where i live where you get asked for id if you look under 25 and they always have to type in my date of birth until i can purchase alcohol

I am confused by all these companies advertising on line supplying Diabetes ID bracelets. Could someone please recommend a cheap and reliable company that sells these things as cheaply as possible in the UK? Pharmacies sell tags. I thought a lot of the ID jewellery was far too expensive and bought a tag from the chemist. It has the snake and staff symbol one side and ‘diabetes’ the other. it can be worn as a necklace but also as a bracelet or clipped to a purse, bag or keyring. Mine is kept with the keys so that it’s not forgotten when I go out.

The tag alerts the emergency services and medical staff to your condition and it is also wise to have a card with all the information on it somewhere easy to find.

Using the computer I made up a card with information on it including condition, medication, doctor, next of kin, phone numbers and where to find equipment, medication etc. It’s easy enough to change any information as and when necessary. A hand written card is ok as long as the writing is clear.

I think that it is a good ideal that there should be a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs to establish the fact that a person is a legitimate Person With Disabilities (PWD).

This national federal PWD agency will maintain two national federal PWD registry lists and will place PWDs either on a national federal PWD registry list for temporary Disabilities or on a national federal PWD registry list for permanent Disabilities.

This national federal PWD agency will give all registered-certified PWDs a federal PWD identification card that states that the PWD is a federal Registered-Certified PWD.

A federal PWD identification card will be required by federal law in order for a PWD to apply for help from federal, state, and local Disability services. (For example: applying for SSI/SSDI, Medicaid/Medicare, state Vocational Rehabilitation services, Handicapped Parking state permit, services from ILC/CIL (Independent Living Center/Center for Independent Living), Disabilities/medical supplies companies, etc, etc, and etc.

There will be a temporary federal PWD identification card for temporary Disabilities and a permanent federal PWD identification card for permanent Disabilities.

A PWD’s physician will submit medical documentation along with an application for a PWD to be a federally registered-certified legitimate Person With Disabilities (PWD).

By having a national federal PWD agency that registers and certifies all PWDs, and by having two national federal PWD registry lists, and by having a federal PWD identification card, it will be almost impossible for fake/pretend PWDs to scam the Social Security Administration (SSA) in getting SSI and/or SSDI including Medicaid and/or Medicare and also scamming the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for a Handicapped Parking Space Permit and also scamming various PWD organizations and etc, etc, and etc.

Why, for example last week I was at a movie with my friends wanting to watch Eclipse (we all read Twilight Saga!). Some of us deaf and some are hard of hearing.

One of my friends saw that a man purchase tickets claiming he could not hear (trying to say he’s deaf) to get in for a half price because movie’s not closed captioned.

Normally this place will let you in for half price if you are deaf or hard of hearing.

So my friend went up to help him order tickets and found out the man was pretending to be deaf and he took off!

This goes with Relay Services over the internet too! People pretend they’re deaf too.

I work for a dentist who hasn’t supplied me or the other dental assistants with radiation badges. When I first started I asked him why we didn’t have them and he told me they weren’t needed because his office was safe. However, I’m concerned about my health and because he’s lied to us about multiple things, I looked up online if our state is required to wear them. We are. I don’t know what to do about this. Any suggestions?

Being required to wear radiation badges is usually based on the size of the office and how employees there are. I have not worn one since I was in school and that was over 30 years ago. My health is just fine.

But if you are truly worried, call your local OSHA office and your local dental society for guidance on how to handle this situation.

also goto some computer-guy in your office or internet forum and talk with the guys. those shiny sales-websites and salesman will try to sell you an extremely expensive laptop which you actually don’t need.

When Cedric was murdered it left his friends and family devastated, including his sister Natalie Diggory. The 15 year old continues on in her life at Hogwarts for her 5th year with boyfriend Terence Higgs. The Ravenclaw struggles to come to terms with Cedric’s death and handle her emotions.

Chapter 1: A Hogwarts Letter
On a particularly sunny afternoon in mid-August, the Diggory home in Ottery St. Catchpole was very quiet. Mrs. Diggory was just about to start on supper before an average Tawny came through the kitchen window with a letter addressed to Miss Natalie Anne Diggory. Mrs. Diggory opened the Hogwarts-crest-sealed letter and read the familiar emerald print. It informed the family that the new term began at it’s usual time on the first of September. It also included a supply and book list requirement for the following term.
“Nat?” Mrs. Diggory called from the kitchen. Natalie made her way out of her bedroom and down the stairs to her mother. “Your Hogwarts letter came,” she handed it to her daughter. Natalie’s eyes quickly scanned the parchment for the word ‘prefect’ but failed to come across it. She reached in the envelope and searched for a small badge but it wasn’t to be found.
“I didn’t make prefect,” Natalie said in a low tone.
“It’s okay sweetie, maybe next year,” her mother assured.
Natalie was upset. She thought it could be another of the things her and her brother could share. Now that her brother was dead, she felt as though that being prefect would make her feel closer to him.
Poof!
Right then, Amos Diggory apparated home.
“Is everyone ok?” He asked, acknowledging Natalie’s expression. He took off his cloak and hung it on the chair.
“I didn’t make prefects dad.”
“I don’t see why not. You’re perfect. I don’t see who could have beaten you,” he said being his usual bragging self. Natalie smiled shyly to herself. “Next year, you’ll make it.
Natalie sat down at the dining table next to her father doing over the list of supply requirements.
“Well, I suppose I could find some of these books in Cedric’s bedroom,” she suggested.
“No, no need to do that, we will simply take a trip to Diagon Alley tomorrow, when your father has off.”
“That sounds nice, Natalie have you finished your summer homework yet?” Amos asked. Natalie nodded in response. Of course she had, homework was easy for her. “Good girl,” he kissed his daughter on the cheek. “Now why don’t you go outside while it’s nice and go practice flying.” You show that Roger Davies that you are good enough for the team.”
Natalie got the Nimbus Two Thousand out of her bedroom and took it outside to the backyard. She flew around the English country side for about an hour. Everyone knew that Natalie Diggory was an excellent quidditch player. She was certainly good enough to make the house team but Roger Davies insisted on an all-male team with the exception of the seeker, Cho Chang, who was very skilled. Now that many were leaving, she had another shot at making it. She practiced the same skills that Cedric helped her prefect over the years; speed, accuracy, and technique. Just as it began to get a little colder, Natalie went back inside with her nose pink and hair, wind-blow to eat dinner with her family.

It’s not badly written, but honestly, do you really think a captain would get away with refusing to pick any girls except his girlfriend?

You seriously need to take a look at a Mary Sue test. Little Miss Perfect who only doesn’t get absolutely everything she wants because other people are unreasonable is _not_ much fun to read about. Why can’t she have not got on the Quidditch team because she wasn’t good enough?

I am a teacher. I don’t work summers. When you are a new teacher, you need seniority to get summer school. I now have enough seniority to get summer school but guess what? Right now summer school is canceled for budgetary problems. So I will go back to being a security guard.
My specialty when I worked in the mall was running down teenagers who shoplifted and bolted. But I need more money. The best money I can get now is working at the Abortion Clinic. It’s always hard to staff, and they need people guarding it 24/7. I get some money. And I get to carry a gun and look cool. And in California, you can buy any uniform you want, so I go all the way. I have this cool uniform with a gold stripe running down the side of my leg, and my shirt pocket tops and epulettes are a different color than the rest of the shirt. I bought every badge and patch you could buy from the supply store and had it put on my uniform. My uniform is tight and looks really good. I am qualified in .38 special and .45 automatic. I am thinking about using my .38 super based on the loophole mentioned above.

Sounds like you can.As long as you follow the requirements and the law doesn’t state the type of handgun and only the caliber you should be ok
